  • Why does the Church of God (7th Day) go to church on Saturday?

    God established the seventh day, or Sabbath, to be a day of rest and worship for man. God gave man the command to observe this day as holy and to abstain from working on it. The Sabbath was established on the seventh day, which falls on Saturday on our current calendar.  The law regarding the Sabbath is part of the Ten Commandments, which are part of the Melchisedec priesthood, and was not done away with when Jesus came to the Earth.
